The perfect glamping break at Catgill Farm

We understand that you want to make the very most of your time away but planning a trip can feel overwhelming. We have taken all the guesswork away and provided you with our top tips to maximise your experience.

Day 1 – 3:30pm

Time to check in and venture up to our glamping hideaway! Your wood-fired hot tub has been pre-lit ready for your arrival and will be gently warming, check the temperature and simply pop a few of the provided logs into the stove if you want it hotter.

Unpack, explore your accommodation then light the fire pit and enjoy cooking outside on the BBQ grill or the built-in pizza oven below. Let the firepit keep you warm well into the evening and treat yourself to a toasted marshmallow or two.

Once night descends, settle into the warmth of your hot tub and star-gaze the evening away, the perfect relaxed start to your break.

Day 2

Set yourself up for the day ahead with a hearty breakfast and coffee whilst soaking in the panoramic views of the Yorkshire dales. Why not add one of our breakfast packs to your booking, everything you need for a full English breakfast will be waiting for you on arrival.

We are lucky to be situated in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, there is so much to do right on our doorstep. Don your walking boots and follow the footpath down to Bolton Abbey village, head through the ‘hole in the wall’ and explore the beautiful priory ruins and abundance of woodland walks.

If you are travelling with children over the summer months then you won’t want to miss Hesketh Farm Park right next door! Cuddle cute guinea pigs, bottle feed lambs and let the kids burn off some energy on the many play parks.

If a bit of light shopping is your more your vibe, we would recommend heading into Skipton, a lovely market town with high street and independent shops, cafés and pubs.

However you choose to spend your second day we would recommend heading back to Bolton Abbey village for an afternoon coffee and cake at one of 2 picturesque cafes before retiring back to our glamping hideaway to rest your legs in the comfort of your hot tub.

Day 3

Enjoy a slow morning before heading into reception to check out at 10am, or prolong your stay by adding a late check-out, gaining you 2 extra hours.

No matter what time you check out you won’t want to miss Billy Bob’s American Diner. Head there for a filling brunch or treat yourself to an ice cream before heading to another nearby town such as Addingham, Burnsall or Ilkley. Make a reservation for Sunday lunch at one of the many Yorkshire pubs in the area before heading home, relaxed and rejuvenated after a wholesome short break.
